New project investigates wonder drug's potential to reduce blindness

There's a good reason why we fondly call Dr Lakshini Herat "Lucky" - diabetes sufferers are beyond lucky to have her in their corner as they fight this chronic disease. Dr Herat has just been awarded a $60,000 Basic Science grant from Diabetes Research WA to continue her life-changing work, and we couldn't be prouder. Congratulations Lucky!
